All About E coming to Mountains
Acclaimed new Australian queer film All About E is coming to the Blue Mountains, with a screening scheduled for Mount Vic Flicks on Sunday, December 6.
Presented by Pink Mountains, the film will screen at 6:30pm and will feature a Q&A with director Louise Wadley.
The film revolves around ‘E’ – a beautiful, sexy DJ on the run after she stumbles upon a stash of cash. Can she keep the money, conquer her demons and get the girl?
Starring Mandahla Rose, Brett Rogers and Julia Billington, the film has been variously described as a love story, a road movie and a thriller. While the main love interests are lesbians, it also appeals to the wider community with one of the main characters being E’s gay best friend, and the themes of the film having universal appeal.
All About E has so far screened at the Miami Fort Lauderdale Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, the Mardi Gras Film Festival in Sydney, the Melbourne Queer Film Festival, Outfest Los Angeles and the Reeling Film Festival in Chicago, among others.
The Mount Victoria screening is the movie’s first showing in the Blue Mountains, giving local residents the chance to see a film that has wowed film festivals and gay events in Australia and overseas.
However, the screening at Mount Vic Flicks can only go ahead with YOUR support.
Unlike a traditional movie showing, All About E is being screened through the Tugg web platform, and requires a certain number of bookings to go head.
In this case, the screening will only proceed if a minimum of 51 people commit to purchasing a ticket online via Tugg.
To reserve your seat visit the Blue Mountains screening of All About E plus Q&A page on Tugg, and book your tickets via credit or debit card. Your card will only be charged if the screening goes ahead.
