Cyber_Shed seeks “…to create a digitally one-speed nation… which leaves no community behind”
We see digital literacy as a matter of social equity, opening the online realm to those who would otherwise be left behind. We educate & up-skill community members so they can stay connected with far-flung family, participate in the broader community & stay safe online.
In January we added two touch-screen Windows8 desktops. Cyber_Shed is also equipped with Wi-Fi so students are encouraged to bring along their own laptops and tablets to learn on.
Cyber_Shed was honoured to receive a Highly Commended Outstanding Voluntary Group/Organisation at the 2013 ZEST Awards http://zestawards.com.au/history/previous-award-winners .

Cyber_Shed is currently assessing interest in a Smart Work Hub for the upper mountains. A Smart Work Hub would be a place to work remotely, complementing or even replacing your commute.
Would you use a smart work space located in Blackheath?
How important is location?
Wi-Fi? Printing? Heating?
What would you be prepared to pay?
