Pink Mountains at Fair Day
For the first time in several years, Pink Mountains will have an official stall at the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Fair Day.
To be held at Camperdown Memorial Rest Park in Newtown this Sunday, February 19, Fair Day 2017 is expected to draw more than 80,000 people – giving us the perfect opportunity to showcase Pink Mountains and the thriving Blue Mountains LGBTIQ+ community.
Blue Mountains community groups, social groups and LGBTIQ-friendly businesses are all welcome to display brochures and promotional materials on the Pink Mountains stand. To be included and get exposed to thousands of Fair Day patrons, email Pink Mountains co-convenor Tiphanee Athans at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Volunteers are also needed to donate their time and help Pink Mountains run the stall. We need people to help us make it happen – so whether you can give half an hour or half a day, please consider assisting. Again, email Tiphanee if you can help.
Even if you can’t help – if you’re there on Fair Day, don’t forget to drop in, say hi to the Pink Mountains crew and connect with your local tribe. We’d love to see you!
One of Sydney’s best-loved annual, free events, Fair Day features stalls from a vast array of community, social and business groups; vendors of international cuisine from around the globe; ACON’s annual DOGGYWOOD photo booth; entertainment on the main stage and in the lounge tent; and much more!
Entertainers this year will include Swing Out Sydney, the cast of Kinky Boots, Aimee Francis, Hannah Conda, Tobin Saunders (AKA Vanessa Wagner), Melinda Schneider, the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Choir and DJ Kitty Glitter.
